Everyone was a first-time visitor at some point, so we understand that it's easier to come to St. Peter's in the Woods when you know what to expect. Here we've answered some frequently asked questions:
§ What time are Sunday services and when should I arrive?
o Services are at 8:00am and 10:15 am. Please plan on arriving about 15 minutes before service. If you have young children, you may want to arrive a bit earlier for the 10:15 service to get acquainted with the Children's Chapel, Nursery and PreK rooms.
§ Where are you located?
o St. Peter's in the Woods is conveniently located at
§ What should I wear?
o At St. Peter's in the Woods, you will see people of all ages and stages of life. You will see a variety of attire-from blue jeans to coats and ties. We welcome you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
§ What options are available for families with children or what do you have for kids?
o Children of all ages are welcome to attend Sunday services, but if you would like childcare, there are several options available.
o On Sunday mornings from 10:15-11:30am, child care is available for babies and young children (birth to PreKindergarden) in our Nursery and PreK rooms located on the lower level of the church. Well-trained staff and volunteers understand that providing a safe, pleasant and clean environment is an all-important step in the spiritual development of children. Our Nursery workers are CPR certified, undergo background checks, and are approved by our Child Protection Policy. Our volunteers are church members and parents who have a heart for children. We ask that parents fill out a nursery information card on their first visit and provide a diaper bag for children who are not potty trained. Child can be brought up into the sanctuary to recieve communion and stay with you the rest of the service. Please let a worker know of your wishes when you sign in.
o For all services, coloring and activity books are available at the entrance of the sanctuary.
§ What else happens on Sundays?
o Adult Form is offered every Sunday starting at 9:15 am in the main sanctuary, with a variety of topics, guest speakers and programs. Childcare is available in the nursery for children birth -3 years during Adult Forum.
o From mid-September through mid-June, Sunday School classes are offered at 9:15-10:00am for pre-K through 12th grade.
