The Dementia Care program started with carer considerations and aims to help them understand that they’re not alone. It includes information about communication, organising their day, and how to apply for help. Programs cover a range of topics such as nursing care, end-of-life care, and incontinence management. A recent study reveals that one-third of caregivers do not get adequate support for their role.
Meera is a member of various committees for Dementia care
She has worked on many different initiatives related to dementia. These organizations and committees are aimed at improving the quality of care and reducing the stigma associated with dementia. Meera has been a member of these committees for many years, and is an advocate for this cause. She has experience caring for people with dementia and has also presented her ideas at national Dementia Care Sydney and international conferences. In addition, Meera has worked with international organizations to create dementia-friendly environments.
Andrew Cole is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales
Dr. Andrew Cole is a critical theorist and an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales. His work spans the medieval and modern periods, including the Middle Ages and the French Revolution. In addition, his research interests include the relationship between the humanities and political philosophy, and he has written extensively in these fields. A frequent speaker, Dr. Cole has lectured throughout Australia and the United States and is a member of numerous professional societies.
Matra Robertson is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney
Matra Robertson is a Clinical Senior lecturer at the University of Sydney and an Allied Health Academic with HammondCare. She is a passionate researcher with interests in end of life care, vulnerable populations, and using the arts to promote health. In 2015, she lectured at the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine and contributed to a Masters Social Work education program on death, dying, and mourning. In addition, she works to mentor and support Postgraduate students individually and through professional activities.
Professor Philip Siddall is a professor at the University of Sydney
Prof. Philip Siddall is a professor at the University of Sydney and a world-renowned expert in pain management. He has been involved in pioneering research in the field of pain management for the past 30 years. His team includes Rebecca McCabe, a physiotherapist with expertise in chronic pain management and many years of clinical practice in hospitals and private practice. Robin Murray, PhD in clinical psychology, has also spent many years working in pain management.
Professor Friedbert Kohler is a professor at the University of New South Wales
Friedbert Kohler is a professor at UNSW Sydney, and has many administrative roles, including the clinical direction of rehabilitation services at the Braeside Hospital and the Liverpool Hospital. He also has teaching responsibilities at the University, including involvement in graduate student supervision and research. Professor Kohler was recently inducted into the role of president-elect of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics, and is a member of the WHO standards development group.
